FOTD - Go To Autumn Makeup

Autumn makeup has to be my favourite to wear - go to love the berry lip! I always seem to go for the same look which includes a neutral eye and my Topshop lipstick in Inhibition as it creates such a wearable day time look. However I definitely want to try something different soon using darker brown and warm tones so watch out for that! If it is successful there will definitely be a post about it. Anyway enough rambling, here is my go to daytime autumn look:

Powder - Seventeen Miracle Matte

It's Finally Chunky Boot Time

Dress: Boohoo
Cardigan - New Look
Boots - New Look

It is finally time to dig out my favourite type of footwear again - that being chunky boots. These beauties were a recent purchase from New Look and only cost £29.99 which I could not pass up. They are suede which is something a little different for me as all of my other boots are faux leather. The heel is actually a little higher than I am used to with my other everyday boots, however they are still so comfy! I shopped from 12pm until 8pm and my feet only just started to hurt a little at the end. That is a massive plus. I teamed them with a bodycon white and black stripped dress and my new khaki cardi which has a belt to cinch in the waist. These items of clothing teamed together created such a relaxed, comfortable outfit as both of the fabrics are so light weight and do not restrict me. I am definitely going to be wearing these boots most of winter!

Makeup Revolution Salvation Velvet Lip Lacquer

The Makeup Revolution stand is something that I can never resist taking a peep at in Superdrug, it is so hard to leave without something due to the amount of bloggers that highly rate their products. On this particular trip I left with a Salvation Velvet Lip Lacquer in the shade Keep Lying for You. At only £3 it was definitely worth trying!

I have not tried the Lime Crime Velvetines but I can imagine this product would be a great dupe at a fraction of the cost. Makeup Revolution have definitely created an amazing product here - it goes on so so opaque and dries perfectly matte. The product is so easily to apply too with the help of a lip brush to make clean lines. Another plus for me is that the product stays on for so long however if it does come off (I do not see how) your lips are left stained therefore still providing colour. I can totally see how some people would find this annoying though.

The only negative about this product is that you can really feel the product on your lips. So sad to find a fault is such a pigmented, matte, long lasting product. It clung to the inside of my lips and was so dry there which made eating very uncomfortable. Maybe I just had dry lips? I have no idea but it really made me want to take the lip lacquer off...

Anyway this product is amazing for £3, I now just have to decide if I can handle the horrible feeling on the inside of my lips again. I guess just a lot of exfoliation and lip balm will be needed before I next apply this product!

Autumn Outfit Ideas - Styling Boots

Autumn/winter fashion has to be my favourite. Who does not love layering? I accidentally found myself snooping on the New Look website which was a massive mistake... so many nice things that I need to have! So instead of making my bank account cry (trust me its already a bit tearful) I decided to make a outfit idea post - all of which I would love to own. They have been styled around boots as they definitely something that should be present in every ones autumn wardrobe:

Iphone Cases from Ebay

1 - 99p, 2 - 99p, 3 - 99p, 4 - 99p, 5 - £3.99, 6 - 99p, 7 - 99p, 8 - £5.99

My favourite place to buy phone cases from has always been eBay, in fact I never actually buy them from anywhere else. They are so cheap on the site normally starting at around 99p which I think is an absolute bargain. Postage is also normally free however cases are often sent from places such as China or Japan therefore it is a few weeks before the parcel arrives. I do not mind this as the price is so cheap that I do not care about waiting a little longer!

I do not know why but I usually gravitate towards floral cases as they are always so pretty. Lately however, I have been trying to branch out and ordered the water melon case (2). Why is fruit so fashionable recently? I guess moving into Autumn the trend will disappear. Other favourites of mine include cases such as 1 and 5 as they and so intricate and beautiful. One of my main weaknesses is eBay, definitely need to delete the app!

Holiday Outfit #6 - Pineapples

Playsuit - Missguided
Sunglasses - eBay
Sandals - Asda

I immediately fell in love with this playsuit when it popped up on the Missguided website, even more when I realised it was only £8 in the sale. Originally it was purchased as a cover up however it was just too cute not to wear it out and about while on holiday. It is great as it does not have to be accessorised due to the print being so busy therefore there is no fuss needed - something which is essential while on holiday. This piece is definitely staying at the back of my wardrobe until my next holiday, hopefully pineapples will still be as big then!

Did/do you like the pineapple trend?

Fairy Tale Bedroom

12345678

Recently I have been absolutely obsessed with Cinderella, mainly because of the lovely blue associated with her. My bedroom at home is about to get decorated and it has got me into thinking about how much I would love the Cinderella to be present. First of all lets just appreciate how cute all of these pieces are! The pale blue duvet set and voiles would look so dreamy along with the white accessories. Oh and the chandelier is absolutely stunning! Another favourite of mine has to be the mirror, how fab would it look placed on a dressing table? Every girl needs some fairy lights in there room so the pearl like ones would be absolutely perfect as they look adorable along with keeping the theme going. If money was not an issue then all of these pieces would definitely be purchased.

What would your dream bedroom look like?

Holiday Outfit #5 - Culotte Jumpsuit

Culotte Jumpsuit - Matalan
Shoes - New Look
Hat - Accessorize

The culotte trend throughout spring/summer is something that I loved but never thought that I would join. There is no actual reasoning behind this, I just thought that it would be a purchase that I would never make. That is until I found this jumpsuit in Matalan for the tiny price of £5! I also love the monochrome as it makes it easier to wear not just on holiday but here in miserable Scotland too. It would look great with a leather jacket thrown on top I bet. This was the only time that I got to wear my lovely sun hat on holiday unfortunately, it was just too hot during the day to have my hair down so it was constantly in a high bun. Nevertheless I love the look of it! If I can remember correctly it was only around £14 which is definitely a decent price (add in employee discount and it was perfect). Finally I wore my trusty black sandals that are included in almost all of my holiday posts. Does anyone else bring heaps of shoes on holiday with them but really just stick to one pair?

Eyeko Black Magic Mascara

I have never been in love with a mascara as much as I love this one. Ever. Eyeko has never been a brand that I have looked much in to - not because of any negative reasons, just that no one ever really talks about it. When gifted a sample of the Eyeko Black Magic Mascara for my birthday, I was very intrigued to try it. Here is why I love it so much:

(ignore the bare eyebrows, was having a natural day)

First of all, the shape of the mascara wand is absolutely perfect as it catches every single lash. In addition to this, the wand also curls and lengthens my lashes beautifully. The above photo is only one coat but more can be add to create a thicker look - just be careful though as the mascara can clump if too much is applied. When this happens to me, I just take an old, clean mascara wand and comb it through my lashes. The formula does not flake either which I love as it is definitely a pet hate of mine. My only issue with this mascara? The £18 price tag... I know its not extortionate but on a student budget it is just not always doable. Nevertheless, if I do ever have a little extra money then I will definitely purchase this mascara again.

Have you tried anything from Eyeko?

Holiday Outfit #4 - Palm Print

Top - New Look
Shorts - New Look
Kimono - New Look
Shoes - New Look

I was scared that wearing my kimono in the boiling weather while on holiday would not be possible, thankfully it was a bit cooler at night and I got a chance to rock it (even though I still ended up being a sweaty mess). It was actually bought from New Look last year for my birthday night out but I am still in love with it as much as I was back then. I have an addiction to fringe. I paired it with a simple black crop top and also these amazingly comfy denim shorts. The belt completes the shorts, in my opinion, and it came with them which is a bonus! Finally my trusty black sandals completes the outfit.
